Day 93 - Snapper Rocks
Snapper RocksSunday, 21 April 2013
Woke up very early - coolest morning so far, only 18 degrees in the van. Had a cuppa to warm up. At least the fridge is now at 5 degrees instead of its usual 11+ degrees.
Went for a kayak to the point opposite Snapper Rocks. Stopped at the beach which was mainly smooth rocks because it was low tide. I saw two feral goats munching on the shrubs. I not sure if the large number of dead bushes is due to the goats or lack of rain or both. Paddled further along the beach up past some campers and then came back to my camp. Didn't see any marine life as it was windy and the sea was choppy.
Back at camp had a late breakfast ad then Tuka and I went for a walk. Rest of the day reading, walking and watching dvds as it was a cool day and windy so not much good for swimming or kayaking.
