Day 113 - 14 Mile Beach
14 Mile BeachSaturday, 11 May 2013
Woke up to a temperature of 16 degrees in the van - Welcome to the Tropics. Had breakfast, a short walk with Tuka and then some reading until it warmed up. Still windy so I didn't do a morning paddle.
Another short walk with Tuka than I went for a long walk by myself. Walked to the start of the Pelican Sanctuary Zone. It is part of Ningaloo Marine Park and a breeding ground for pelicans. Saw some Euros during the walk and a lone flowering plant.
Back at camp, had lunch, reading and a few small walks along the beach with Tuka (didn't stay long because of the wind). At low tide went kayaking - not very pleasant because of the wind, waves and the lack of visibility. Did some labelling and cataloging of the photos in Lightroom on the computer.
