Day 53 - Nannup

Nannup

Tuesday, 12 March 2013
In the morning took Tuka for a walk and then did the household chores of washing clothes, sheets, blankets and cleaning the van. Rest of the day spent wandering around the town walking on the riverside walk, reading and phone calls (as five bar reception for both Optus and Telstra). The caravan park is next to the Blackwood River which is the longest river in WA. At this time of the year it is only a a series of pools at Nannup.

Nannup is also known for two things the "Nannup Tiger" (Thylacines believed by some people to still be living in the area) and the Music Festival. The Nannup Music Festival is held every year and the 24th Festival was on the 1-4th March at had 15,000 people.
